New Poker Controller launched

29th January 2009

The recent online poker boom has resulted in millions of poker fans taking part in online games against each other. Sites such as Full Tilt, PKR and Party Poker attract thousands of players every hour of the day.

Traditionalists claim playing online will never beat a live casino environment, yet internet technology is allowing for operators to provide even more realistic features and applications, to recreate the action which takes place in a live poker game.

We all know that poker can be a long game, drawn out over several hours but internet users have been getting used to the idea of playing in virtual environments using their keyboard or mouse to control the actions they make. For example clicking fold, bet or raise buttons.

In spite of this a new piece of hardware is now available which makes online poker game play far more luxurious, classy and controlled.

Meet the new Poker Control product (right), design by a UK company which allows users to control their actions whilst playing games using a far more reliable tool. Many poker players will have often miss clicked or bet to much using a standard PC mouse or keyboard. Yet this new product claims to be far more reliable and easier to use.

Additionally the raise-o-meter will allow users to decide the perfect bet quickly and with ease. The tilt feature also allows players to lock themselves out of a game whilst others continue playing.

Is this the future of online poker? Well it's certainly the beginning of something big in terms of new game play applications. Could we soon be using electronic cards on a electronic poker table connected to our PC. Certainly sounds like fun to me!
