Bodog Poker creates mini version of WSOP - 26th May 2008

Bodog has announced they will be holding a mini version of the World Series of Poker, calling it the Mini-SOP.

The poker tournament will begin on May 30th and run through July 3rd and will be a copycat version of the 25 Hold'em events at the WSOP without the big entry fee.

The CEO of Morris Mohawk Gaming Group, Alwyn Morris stated, "We're happy to offer those not able to attend the 2008 WSOP in person an affordable and exciting online alternative".

After the 25 Mini-SOP events, Bodog will host a final 27- player event on July 10th and Bodog is giving away seats at the 2009 World Series of Poker. Three lucky people will win entry in to next year's big event.

Poker players do not have to enter every event but one could enter all 25 events for $821. Individual event games range from $10+$1 up to $100+$9. There will be a leader board throughout the event which will determine who will be playing in the final July 10th tourney. The 2009 WSOP Main Event package is valued at $12,000.

The online poker site is still giving chances to compete in the 2008 WSOP. Bodog will give away six Main Event Prize Packages through the Main Event Semifinal tourney and the Player's Choice Promotion. Qualifiers will be running daily.
